Two days after the announcement of the Amber Alert for 4-year-old Ani Borisova the case of her disappearance is taking a new turn.
According to the police sources, a man from Bulgaria appeared in the department for minors of the General Police Directorate of Attica late last night and stated that he was the child’s biological father. The same sources indicate that his testimony refutes the claims of the mother.
24-year-old Dimitrina Borisova told the Greek media that she had spoken with Ani on 20 April for the last time, when she was still in Bulgaria. A day later, she had again called the mysterious woman named Silvia to whom she had entrusted her child on 14 April to take care of her during her trip to Bulgaria. Silvia had told her that she had lost Ani, not at a party but in a park in the centre of Athens. According to the mother, Silvia had stated that she had been to a shop to buy Ani a juice and when she had returned the child had no longer been in the playground.
After that conversation, she had turned off her phone and Dimitrina Borisova had lost contact with her. Asked by the investigating policemen about the identity of 23-year-old Silvia, the mother replied, "I do not remember," adding, "Her right eye is brown and her left blue". Dimitrina Borisova said that she had given the woman a mobile phone to be able to communicate with her and her daughter but could not remember its number. She had written it down on a piece of paper that she had left at her parents' home in Bulgaria.
Earlier today GRReporter contacted Ani’s mother. She said she could not speak at that moment as there were policemen with her and asked to be called back in 20 minutes but her two phones were turned off at that time.
Sources claim the police had apprehended in the past 24-year-old Dimitrina Borisova who has recently lived in the house of an old man near the central Omonia Square in Athens. According to the same sources, missing Ani has been in Greece over the past three weeks.
