The season of summer vacations entered in its most active phase. This is a time when we want to relax and have fun. All women want to be elegant and feel comfortable in the summer. GRReporter sought the advice of Greek fashion designer Dimitris Strepkos. He and his student Elena Barla are creators of the fashion agency ''Celebrity skin''. They deal with fashion, style and theater for many years. Two years ago, they won the Best Catwalk and Best Designer prizes in Greece.

Celebrity skin logo is “dare and get dressed”. Their clothes have a kind of theatrical look and Avant Garde style. During the Athens Exclusive Designers their clothes not only dressed models on the catwalk but also musicians Eleonora Zouganeli, Isaac Matiaba, Antigoni Psihrami, actress Ada Levitsanou and music ensemble Vegas.

Four months ago together with Dexim (company producing shoes) they presented their first shoe collection.

What are the predominant colors and shapes, and what is the preferred design on clothes for summer 2011?

I like nude tones like sand, white and pastel shades of gray as colors. Recently ''Celebrity skin'' opened itself to more color in the fabric. I believe that women must start loving white and golden. Especially the white color should have priority in the summer.

As to the forms, I believe that clothes should not clamp the body. Body needs to be free in order to breathe. It is better for the garment to be tight in the chest and free around the waist. I prefer the ''candy” shaped dresses. I like the aesthetics of clothing from the 60s and 70s. I do not like the trends of the 80s for this season. Overall, women in summer should try to choose lighter and more comfortable clothing.

For colors, I recommend pastel. I am afraid to recommend strong tones. The specific thing with them, is that you need to combine them very accurately. For example, magenta is a very nice color for summer, but you need to know how to ''quench'' a strong color. You need to manage to combine it with a garment that is in a more neutral color. In connection with the design on clothes this season trendy are stripes and plaid. I recommend small plaid because it makes the body seem slimmer. Large-scale plaid I recommend to be used on the chest or sleeve. Stripes are loved. By itself it radiates style. It appeals to women. They look fine and elegant. A woman, wearing a striped dress would be elegant only with it.

The line in relation to length is all - long, short anything they feel better with.

Some advice on how women should dress this summer?

My advice is to take risks and be creative themselves. They should try and leave their own mark. They can combine three or four colors – it is summer after all. Many designers are in support of it this summer. I would not be annoyed if I see a white blouse, shorts, golden sandals and a magenta bag. Fashion is a game. No one has to tell you exactly what and how to do it. We do not impose fashion, we offer it. The question is how you feel things yourself. I recommend this summer for women to stress on Capri pants. It is imperative to start loving the everyday casual style. She does not have to try too much and she must avoid the so-called “too much” in clothing.

What do you think is a Must for summer 2011?

For a woman to put on men’s clothes. More specifically the boy friend style. Except for speaking the language of feelings wearing the shirt of your boyfriend or husband, it is also very practical. She can even combine it with some shorts.

Can you give us proposal for every day clothing and for a night out?

The more casually dressed a woman is in summer, the more beautiful. For every day I offer plain cotton tank tops and shirts.

For evenings out I recommend ampire style dresses (dresses with high waist that starts just below the breasts) in nude tones. For a body with a nice suntan I suggest a dress in gold or turquoise. She can put Capri pants, but then she must put on high heels.

In the summer we go to the beach, how can a woman look stylish on the beach?

She can put a turban. It adds style and protects hair from the effects of the sun. It is mandatory for the sunglasses to be big. She should carry a large straw bag. She should put on caftan or tie a silk scarf around the hips. The swimsuit should be the accurate size. I like the woman on the beach to be simple and to feel comfortable. There is no nicer view for me to see how girls play badminton and volleyball on the beach. They give me the impression that they have fun and are not just sun tanning. I believe the most important clothing for the beach is our own skin. There is no uglier sight than a sun burned skin. The skin should be protected and cared for. In a woman I like her skin, that radiates health.

What should we avoid and not do at the beach?

- Shiny accessories.
- Make-up.
- High heels.
- Strange hairstyles
- Inappropriate Capri pants.
- Extremely cut shorts
- Tight swimsuit

I do not like it when a woman does not put the top part of her bathing suit. I think the body should be covered. It is more mysterious this way. Not, of course, with a one part whole bathing suit. On the beach we wear less clothing anyway, so it is better to retain some dignity and not to look ''cheap''.
