The time finally came to see the Musical about the life of legendary Edith Piaf conquered Paris. It will be presented on January 31st in the Music hall. “Edith Piaf – a life in pink and black” with producer Alen Delon is a show filled with the songs of a French girl who touches the hearts of the endless romantics.
“There will never exist another one like Edith Piaf” says Jean Kokto for the favorite girl of a whole generation, who sings “No I don’t regret anything”. The three actors on stage will tell the myth of the small French girl in red who has a great voice and lives a wild life. How the songs La vie en rose, L’hymne a l’amour, Milord and Non, je ne regratte rien were born? What was the life of Edith Piaf in the poor French suburb, where she grows up and sings on the streets and later in the variety shows of Pigal?
How does she become the “little sparrow” and then turns into Edith, who shines on the New York scenes? How does she meet Marcel Serdan and live together their legendary love? What influence does she have on people like Ives Montand, Charles Aznavour, Georges Moustaki and many others? How does she spend her life on stage when she constantly has shows until complete exhaustion opposing to the doctors who insist she has to rest?
The vanguard show of this musical biography, which merges into the songs of Piaf, recreates her life in a contemporary funny and touching way. Jack Peshi – a journalist, writer and songs historian is reminding us of her career and puts the stress on the key moments of her life.
Charming Natalie Lermi with her wonderful voice breaks the tale of immortal shansons of the great Edith accompanied by the accordionist Aurélian Noel. The vanguard production of Rubia Matignon shows the interaction between the story teller, the singer – actress and the musician by making the audience feel.
The music hall will present the musical on January 31st, 2010 in the hall of “Friends of music” in 22:30. The sale of tickets starts Januray 11th.
