A photographic exhibition named "Face to faces" is currently on a display at the Museum of Photography in Thessaloniki where it can be seen until September 20. The exhibition is a part of the Contemporary Art exhibitions program and includes a hundred works of twelve Greek and fourteen foreign authors under the topic "Portrait" and "Self-portrait."
The exhibition aims to show the "inter-cultural" dialog between artists from different countries. It is a part of the second Thessaloniki Contemporary Art Biennale and it reveals the hidden words, expressing dialogs into images. Sometimes words are unnecessary since a single picture can "talk" and reveal the artist.
The foreign authors participating are: Ala Alain Bublex, Nan Goldin, Cecile Hartmann, Hans Hemmert, Suzanne Lafont, Dominik Lejman, Yuki Onodera, Jean Luc Vilmouth, Kimiko Yoshida Roman. The Greek photographers are: Manolis Baboussis, Venia Bechraki, Athina Chroni, Christina Dimitriadis, Pavlos Fysakis, Georgios Katsaggelos, Panos Kokkinias, Evangelia Kranioti, Eleni Maligoura, Eleni Mouzakiti, Lia Nalbantidou, George Prinos.
The exhibition is jointly organized by the National Contemporary Art Museum, Thessaloniki Museum of Photography, France's consulate in Thessaloniki and the French Institute in Thessaloniki.
