Right after that, a quarter before midnight, the long awaited presentation of the songs-candidates started. Sakis Rouvas started with “Out of Control,” followed by “Right on Time” and at the end “This is Our Night,” to which the audience couldn’t resist and jumped, in order to follow the rhythm (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n5wY-fcS39Q). “Out of Control” was performed with a bit of a cold mood but it had nice choreography. “Right on Time” was maybe the best out of the three songs but for Eurovision we all want Sakis to dance and to show his talent not only as a perfect singer but also as a perfect performer. This is why “This is Our Night” is the right choice, this is the only song, which shatters the gravitation laws and gives wings to Saki!

Right after the end of his performance, the Mangira sisters started the voting. It started a little bit after midnight and continued for 20 minutes and in the meanwhile the organizers made a mini Eurovision on stage! The guests of the night came out on stage and performed the songs, with which they will represent their countries.

The first one was the 20 year old British Jade, with her song “My Time” with music by Andrew Lloyd Weber. We also saw the performances of Andrea Demirovic from Cherna Gora with her song “Just get out of my life (Just get out of my bed…)”, this year’s favorite Hadize from Turkey with the hit R&B song “Dum Tek Tek” (Crazy about You), Belarus’ representative Peter Evtimov performed a little bit monotone rock-ballade “Eyes which never lie” and at the end Kiara from Malta came out and sung “What if we” and she offered Sakis to split the award this year.

When the voting was over, Mimis Plesas – the chairman of the jury and a famous composer got on stage in order to announce the result…100% “This is our Night”! From love for statistics – according to the survey, which was done online, “This is our night”, was ahead of the other two songs with 74.3%!

Illias Ledakis did a great job with the scenography and Fokas Evangelinos has taken over the directing and choreography. The Mangira sisters were under Giorgios Sefredakis’ design. The texts and the ideas for the night were by Giorgios Kapoudzidis.

Good luck in Moscow Sakis!
