As a chairwoman of OSCE, Dora Bakoyanni will visit Skopje after the presidential elections in the former Yugoslavian Republic, which will take place on March 22nd, Sunday. This was announced by the spokesman of the Greek foreign ministry Georgios Koumoutzakos. He clarified that the visit will not be bilateral.
The announcement was done in an answer to the message of the Macedonian first diplomat Antonio Miloshoski to Dora Bakoyanni. In it, he offers to create a double-sided experts commission from different fields, who can work together for the improving of the countries’ relationship. “The message expresses known positions. Greece has always believed, believes and applies the principals of a good neighbor, without excluding neither country form them,” comments Georgios Koumoutzakos.
According to him, right now is the time when they need to focus on finding a solution about the name under the supervision of the UN. “When this argument is resolves, this will be the catalyst for everything else,” he added and did not exclude the possibility to answer to the received message. The spokesman also said that OSCE will send their own viewers during the presidential elections on Sunday but according to them there will be no Greeks, so any misunderstandings can be avoided.
