Who cares about the economic financial crisis? The companies, which organize concerts, announce new names of celebrities coming to Greece every week. And the result is that this summer there will be a concert almost every day and to the long list were included five more names.

-      This year the Festival Ejekt will continue for two days – June 18th and 19th. Pixies concert will be on the first day – June 18th. The second day – June 19th will present us with Royskopp, Klaxons and Jervis Cocker and to this list we can add Lauryn Hill, who is famous for being part of the New Jersey Fugees band. After going through hard personal dramas, Lauryn Hill has prepared a dynamic comeback on stage and the good thing is that she decided to come to Athens for the first time.

-      In Badminton theatre on July 6th we will expect to see the great David Byrne – former Talking Heads vocalist will perform hits done with Brian Eno and the albums “My Life in the Bush of Ghosts” and “Everything That Happens Will Happen Today.” Lets not forget that after all the name of his tour is “Songs Of David Byrne and Brian Eno.”

-      According to unconfirmed information, on the same day – 6th and 7th of July the Greek public will be able to enjoy a dedication to the unforgettable Nina Simone and her band, which will be performed by her daughter Seles, Liz Right, Angelic Kitzo and Dianne Reeves.

-      Loreena McKennitt will perform three concerts during June in Patra, Athens, and Thessaloniki.

-      There are rumors that in the middle of July there will be a concert of Morrissey from the mythical band Smiths, in Athens and Thessaloniki but nothing is confirmed yet. Also, there are two more unconfirmed concerts on July 20th in the Rocks Theatre – Nine Inch Nails together with Jane’s Addiction. What is sure is that Paul Weller will perform there on July 14th.
