The Greek Foreign Affairs Ministry has a new spokesman

This is the 32 year old diplomat Grigoris Delavekouras, who officially assumed office today. The young diplomat has worked in the diplomatic cabinet of PASOK’s leader Georgios Papandreou and in the permanent Greek representation in the UN. “He is a young diplomat, who has dedicated himself to his work in the foreign ministry and who has worked during difficult mandates. His word is also my word,” said during his introduction to the diplomatic journalists the foreign Minister Dora Bakoyanni.


Grigoris Delavekouras is taking the place of Georgios Koumoutzakos, who a New Democracy candidate for the Euro-parliament. “He was the longest standing spokesman in the Greek Foreign Affairs Ministry, who successfully worked there for 5 years. I am sure that he will protect our interests with the same passion in the Euro-parliament,” said about Mr. Koumoutzakos Dora Bakoyanni.
