Marfin Ivestment Group (MIG) announced an open contest for the new logo of the Greek airline carrier Olympic Airways, which it bought not too long ago. The three most interesting ideas will be published in a special website, where users will be able to vote and chose the winner. The winner of the competition will win ?20 000.

During the first stage of the competition a jury will choose the best three ideas for the logo, which later on will be published online.

The offers for the logo can be sent by designers, advertising companies, designer companies and other similar firms. The received offers will be reviewed by a jury, which will not reveal the names of the approved designers. After the jury chooses the three logos, it will publish them on a website, which will be announced to the media later on.

The designers of the three chosen logos will receive an award of ?2 000. The users, who will vote online, will automatically be included in a lottery and 50 people will win two Olympic Airlines tickets, which can be used for destinations in Greece and abroad. The tickets will have to be used by October 1^st 2009.

The logo, which will be accepted, will have to be suitable in all formats (black & white, one color, etc). The designers will have to conform to the requirements of the company and to keep the circles of the old logo, which will bring the association of tradition and at the same time will imply development of the Greek airline. The deadline for sending the logos is Friday, May 29^th.

As part of the planned changes of MIG is also the name change of the national carrier “Olympic Air.”
