The coach of the Cyprian team Anortozis, Temuri Ketsbaia finally visited the headquarters of Olympiakos in Pieria after he has been preparing to take the place of Ernesto Valverde. In Pieria he had a meeting with the technical team of Olympiakos. Later on, he met with the president of the club Sokratis Kokalis. After yesterday’s long announcement of Sokratis Kokalis, from which it became certain that Ketsbaia will replace Ernesto Vaverde, all publications pointed their attention to the Georgian coach. Two weeks ago GRReporter informed you about the upcoming replacement on the coach bench of the red-whites.

When he arrived at the Athens airport, Temuri Ketsbaia was not too talkative. “I don’t like talking too much. We need to work hard. Hard years are ahead of us and I hope we will achieve our goals.” He also stressed that he intends to live up to the people’s expectations, who believe in him and to help execute the goals of the team. “Yes, I feel a great challenge and this is why I am here. What I did with Anortozis I will not do with Olympiakos.

Regarding the comment of the president of the club Sokratis Kokalis that he is fully supporting the coach, Ketsbaia said: “This will help me a lot, because, in order to achieve our goals, we will need the support of everybody standing beside the team and especially the president. When I spoke to him, I found out that I will receive this support. I am very positive after this talk. I want to live up to the expectations of the people, who believed in me.”

It is expected that today, Temuri Ketsbaia will sign a three year contract with Olympiakos and on Thursday he will officially be presented as the new coach and the heir of Ernesto Valverde. Ketsbaia and the president of the club will discuss the important transfers in the team on Friday. For now, no changes are expected for the summer training of the team.
