Elena Nikolova
This week’s leader jumped up with six positions and proudly took over the first place. Pitbull and his summer hit I know you want me overwhelmed the global public and can be heard on all radio stations. Fresh summer hit, which we will enjoy for a while. One position down and on a second place are Pussycat Dolls with their song Hush Hush.
Number three in GRR HOT 15 is Zoom by Nevena, Marius Moga & NiVo. The song kept its last week’s position but there is good news – MTV started airing the video of the song from last week. It is great that this song is recognized and now audiences worldwide can view and love this hit.
Two positions up and on forth place is Disco Party by Grafa and Akaga. The song is getting closer and closer to the top and probably soon we will see it among the TOP 3. Elena Paparizou is not so lucky. Even though she was in the TOP 3, this week she fell with three positions and is not on number five. Unfortunately, her song Tha ‘Mai Allios was not strong enough to fight off the competition.
This week Boom Boom Pow by Black Eyed Peas went down with two positions, which placed it on number six. Few days ago the frontman of the group, will.i.am said he and Michael Jackson recorded some new songs before the Pop idol died. Will.i.am said that all recordings were kept on Jackson’s hard drives. "He had all the hard drives because I didn't want to be responsible for that," he said. "It's one thing to lose a Black Eyed Peas hard drive. I move around a lot and to make songs with Michael Jackson and risk me losing that music, I didn't want that responsibility. So he kept all the stuff that we worked on." I hope we will get the chance to hear some the latest work of this musician.
Now that Anna Vissi is not part of the chart, it seems that Despina Vandi has to win against Elena Paparizou. Vandi’s song Iparhi zoi jumped up with five positions and it seems that Paparizou does not stand a chance but let us wait and see… As far as an upcoming Vandi-Vissi duet, I am more than curious to see how the two divas will try to win us over.
Ena Lepto by Vanessa Adamopoulou is slowly going up, not letting us decide of whether it will succeed or not. Now, the song is on number eight and it got here after a two positions jump. Following her is Sakis Rouvas with his Eurovision hit This is our night. The singer kept his last week’s position but surprisingly he did not move up after he won the award “best performer of the year” by MAD Video Awards.
