Mr. Peponis coordinates and supervises the activities while the economic police officers execute them. In cooperation with the Economic Crimes Control Service, port authorities, tax offices, customs and police, they are aiming not only at the cases of tax evasion but also at cases of child pornography, smuggling of cigarettes, medical records inspection, neutralization of criminal gangs, who have committed fraud, smuggling of fuel, combatting illegal betting, etc.
