Following a series of continued violent acts and manifestations by anarchists in Greece that GRReporter has presented to you, we have logically asked our readers what they think of them. The question in our latest poll was, "What do you think Greek anarchists are?"
Readers of the Bulgarian page of the site define Greek anarchists as hooligans with even internationally wanted drug dealers in their environment. This option is the preference of 48% of respondents. The opinion that they are mainly ideological idealists ranks second with 25% of the readers' votes. 19% of readers believe that Greek anarchists would gain more sympathy if they quitted arson, bombs and occupations. Only 8% see them as followers of Bakunin and Kropotkin.
Readers of the English page of GRReporter are even more explicit. 57% are of the opinion that the acts of Greek anarchists are mostly hooliganism and that internationally wanted drug dealers are hiding in their ranks. 24% of respondents believe that anarchists would gain more sympathy if they quitted their acts of vandalism. 13% perceive Greek anarchists as ideological idealists and 6% see them as followers of Bakunin and Kropotkin.
The situation on the Greek page of the site is different. Our readers, for whom the acts committed by Greek anarchists are part of everyday life, are of the opinion that anarchists would gain more sympathy from the public if they stopped their anti-social acts. 67% of respondents would show sympathy for anarchists if they would quit arson, bombs and occupations. 27% of respondents agree that they are hooligans and drug dealers who hide behind the ideas of anarchism. 7% believe they are ideological idealists. No reader has preferred the option that Greek anarchists are followers of Bakunin and Kropotkin.
While the answers on the Bulgarian and English pages are similar, readers of the Greek page firmly support the view that it is not the ideas of anarchists that bother them but their acts. Apparently, Greek society has had enough of arson, bombs and occupations.
Our new poll again turns your attention to refugees. This problem will continue to grow in the near future and it will not remain outside the focus of public attention. Therefore, the question is, "What should the EU’s policy be towards immigrants and refugees?" Please, comment on your vote in the relevant section below the poll, as your opinion is important to us!
