The game between the basketball teams of Panathinaikos and Panionios played at the OAKA field in Athens ended with a score of 102-84. Before the eyes of the fans who had gathered their the greens showed a beautiful play with a lot of dynamics and struggle. The team of Panionios even though it didn’t win the game gave its best and managed to show the best image it could. The game this evening presented a real nice view, a view of a basketball game as it is supposed to be in the true sense of the word.

The trump card of the greens was definitely their strong offence. The fact which is the proof for the practices of the team after dropping out of the Euro league and which could be noticed fro the very first minutes of the game. In the 10^th minute of the game they already had a substantial lead of 33-23. The players who contributed to Panathinaikos being able to show an enviable image this evening were Pekovic and Fotsis who managed to score a substantial number of spectacular points for the team. The players who contributed the most for the team of the guests were Papanikolaou and Rais. However even their points did not help the team of Panionis to catch up with the score of the hosts. (Their wonderful attacks and the good rhythm of the greens lasted until the end of the game). In this way the next 10 minutes brought to Panathinaikos even greater lead: 53:39. During the third set the greens managed to completely take over the field. This time the merit for this had the side attacks of the players Tepic and Spanoulis. The confidence of the greens and the fast rhythm of the game eliminated all chances of the guests to advance in the score. Their attacks were often stopped and the ball was taken away from them… Until the end of the game however they did not give up.

In the last set the player who lead the greens even further in the score was Yasikievitsious. In this way the difference in the score between the two teams got to the impressive 20 points (89:69). The next target of the hosts was to reach and exceed 100 points. They managed to achieve this without too many difficulties with their last attack of 3 points.
