As part of the Super league the game between football teams PAOK and Panathinaikos ended with 2:1 on Touba stadium in Thessaloniki. PAOK definitely has something to celebrate as the victory in that game ranked it second together with Olympiakos, and only 2 points are separating it from the green team... The game sparked a fire in the hearts of all fans at the stadium. Full of emotion and tension the game of both teams could compete even with the game of one of the best teams in the world. Panathinaikos and PAOK gave everything of themselves during this game, which was full of tension from beginning to end.

The teams started the game with a strong desire to win and from the very first 10 minutes sought and created goal positions. During the first minute Leto made an attempt for goal, but the ball went high over the door of Halkyas. The hosts did not delay their attack response and a minute later Veyrinya made a goal attempt but the ball went past Dzorvas’ door. There was a very good goal attempt by the Greens had during the 25th minute as well. After a hard kick (from foul of Kontreras) Karagounis sent the ball to the opponents’ net, but it hit the post. The first half of the game ended with 0:0. At the beginning of the second half Ivic made a great goal attempt but the ball went past Dzorvas’ post. Decisive for the outcome of the meeting proved to be exactly 8 minutes. During the 15th minute the hosts scored their first goal, executed with remarkable skill by Garcia. Dzorvas failed to react to the amazing goal. He froze in his place and did not even attempt to save the ball. The beautiful goal by Garcia and the result 1:0 drive the fans at the stadium crazy.

The answer of the green tram did not take long - only after 4 minutes (in the 19th minute) there was a tie. Cisse, who no defender could stop, scored a goal in the door of the hosts (he passed the ball to Salpingidis). The joy of the fans stopped. Just after 4 minutes the second response of the hosts came - finding Dzorvas away from his net Muslimovich scored a second goal...

So the team of PAOK climbed one place higher in the football rating and one place higher in their title dreams...
