Present party leader Evangelos Venizelos was greeted with applause and slogans that were not more violent than the ones for George Papandreou. Despite the attempts to present a united face of the party, the disputes between the supporters of the two have not ceased. Evangelos Venizelos rejected the scenarios of electoral cooperation between PASOK and SYRIZA, stating that there are clear differences between PASOK and New Democracy despite the coalition cooperation.

After 39 years, PASOK "is here", as its members are chanting, but it is not at all united. The present leadership of the party is continuing its efforts to unite the left centre space before the radical left party SYRIZA and the Democratic Left divide even larger portions from PASOK. And George Papandreou is delivering lectures at American universities on the Greek crisis.
