The power cuts are official

Hours after the trade unions of the employees in the national electricity company stopped 13 power plants, the electricity distribution network company announced the schedule of the power cuts in different regions in Greece.

The maximum duration of the power cuts will be one hour. In particular, the power cuts in Attica today will be as follows:

From 11:00 am to 12 noon in the areas of Skaramangas, Aspropyrgos, Elefsina and Mandra.

From 12 noon to 1:00 pm in the areas of Marathonas, Nea Makri, Rafina, Lavrio, Sounio, Anavissos and Lagonissi.

From 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm in the areas of Kiurka, Kapandriti, Kalamos, Oropos and Inofita.

In Thessaloniki, there will be power cuts in the regions northeast and east of the city and in Epanomi, Termi, Neo Rissio, Triadi suburbs.

There will be power cuts in separate locations in the following regions: Drama, Evros area, Imathia area, Kavala, Kastoria, Kilkis, Kozani, Grevena, Xanthi, Pella area, Pieria area, Rodopi area, Serres, Florina, Halkidiki, Viotia area, Evia area, Karditsa, Larissa, Magnesia area, Trikala, Fthiotida area, Evritania area, Etoloakarnania area, Argolida area, Arcadia area, Achaia area, Ilia area, the region of Corinth, and Lakonia and Messinia areas.

The electricity company warns that the schedule of the power cuts is approximate and it is not excluded that they may last longer than an hour or differ in the particular regions. According to the official press release, this can be due to unpredictable factors such as a sudden failure or interruption of a plant.
