The referendum results are already a fact and the Greek nation has expressed its will. Upon the presentation of the idea of a referendum, we sought your opinion by asking, "Do you approve Tsipras’ decision to announce a referendum?" Unlike the results of our latest surveys, this time readers of our three language pages are of a similar opinion.

When it comes to the fate of Greece and the Greek people, it would be appropriate to begin with the summary of the results on the Greek page of GRReporter. 49% of Greek readers are of the opinion that the referendum is nothing more than a way for the Greek government to avoid responsibility. 32% believe that the sovereign should decide when it comes to the future of the country and the nation. 14% approve the referendum because it is a way for Europe to finally say goodbye to communism. About 5% of readers define the question as vague and therefore, have no opinion.

More than half the readers of GRReporter's Bulgarian page agree that the referendum is a way for the Greek government to avoid responsibility. 56% of respondents do not approve the idea of a plebiscite. However, 35% support it, as they think the referendum is compulsory since its question will determine the future of the Greek people. Only 7% are convinced that Europe will bid farewell to communism in this way and 2% have no opinion, because of the unclear question.

The rate of those who disapprove the referendum is several percentage points lower on the English page. 48% of readers perceive it as a clever political move that aims to transfer responsibility to the people. 36% believe that it is right to seek the opinion of the Greek people when it comes to such an important issue. 11% see the referendum as a means for Europe to finally get rid of communism. About 5% define the question as unclear and therefore have no opinion.

In less than 12 hours two politicians resigned, namely Minister of Finance Yanis Varoufakis and leader of New Democracy Antonis Samaras. The question in our new poll is, "How will you remember Yanis Varoufakis?" Do not forget to give the grounds for your choice in the comments section below the poll.
