We already know which are the six songs, among which Greeks will choose, in order to send a representative of the country to the Eurovision song contest in the German city of Dusseldorf. For now in youtube.com we can hear only the chorus of the songs that will be officially presented on February 15 at 20:00 o’clock on national television NET Lena Aroni’s show.

Currently recorded songs are by the bands "Kokkina Halia", Nikki Ponte, Antigoni Psihremi and Lucas Giorkas ft. Stereo Mike, and today the video shooting will end with Valando Trifonos and the band Triimitonio. Here is a bit of curious information about candidates.

Giorkas Lucas was born in Cyprus, where with the support of his family along with studying he starts getting involved in music. He graduated majoring in classical guitar and has been engaged in Byzantine music as he had participated in the philharmonic orchestras of his country, experimenting with other musical instruments. While a student at the Department of Biology, the casting for the musical reality show «X FACTOR» began in 2008 and 2009. He enrolled and won by receiving praise for his exceptional voice capabilities and stage presence. As soon as the show ends, Lucas recorded his first album featuring the single "You cannot imagine." He appeared onstage with Natasha Theodoridou and Elena Paparizou, but he is also part of a band, with which he has concerts all over Greece. Right now you can see him onstage with Dimitris Mitropanos and Peggy Zina on Iera Odos. The piece, with which he will compete in Eurovision is “Watch my dance”.

Kokkina Halia is the band, which as they say, has the most complete piece of all, who will be competing this year in Eurovision. The band is made out of four boys - Alexandros Dimopoulos, Fotis Delinikolas, Georgios Giannopoulos and Levteris Papadimitrakis. They got together to play during May 2008 in order to create a pop-rock band with a modern sound. Also like Lucas they participated in X FACTOR and managed to reach the final, but did not take the first prize. In February 2009 they signed with Sony Music and their journey through the music world began with their song "Kite", which climbed up on the Greek charts. Wherever they appear on stage in Greece and Cyprus, the halls are full, the tickets were sold, and this winter you can see them with Mironas Stratis in the club "Stavros tou notou” in Athens. The song, with which with which they will compete in Eurovision is “Come with me”.

Nikki Ponte was born in 1991 and is the youngest in the race. She lives in Canada and she came to Greece after taking part in the New York audition for Χ-factor in Greece. With her talent she instantly won over the jury and got her ticket to Athens. For 10 years she has been involved in opera singing and now is in the Conservatory of Music. She has won a prize in Toronto and is a staunch fan of Aretha Franklin. From January 2011 she is part Sony Music’s family. The song, with which she is competing is “I Don't Wanna Dance”.

The band "Triimitonio" also began its musical adventure on «X-Factor 1», on which it won third place. After the end of the show, they worked with Peggy Zina, Sakis Rouvas, George Sampanis and Costas Karafotis. After the third member of the band left, his place was taken by Angelos Avgoustis and the band began cooperating with Dimitris Mitropanos and Peggy Zina. Right now they are presenting with Giannis Parios and Stamatis Gonidis in the Athenian club "Fever". The song, with which they will compete on February 15, is "Smile".

Valando Trifonos is also from Cyprus and is 23 years old. She had started going to piano lessons solfeggio and music theory from five years of age. Firstly she appeared on television in 2006 during the contest for choosing a song to represent Cyprus on Eurovision. During the same year Valando started her studies in the English university Queen Mary - University of London in the field of environmental science. After graduating she moved to Athens and participated in the show “Greek Idol”, she won and signed a contract with Sony Music. Currently you can see her perform in 'Feve' together with Yannis Parios and Stamatis Gonididis. The song, which she will sing on Eurovision, competing with the other five contestants, is “The Time is Now”.
