A pilot project for the installation of "smart" stops in the streets of Athens has been launched by the municipality, as reported by Naftemporiki newspaper. The first such stop is in the main Klafthmonos square where passengers will be informed as to after how many minutes the next bus or trolley bus will arrive as well as about its number and its final destination written in Greek and English.
The first "smart" stop has air conditioning in order for the passengers to feel better during the summer heat. In the coming weeks, the pilot project will be extended to other bus and trolley bus stops throughout the city.
