New investors to inject money in Olympiakos is urgently seeking the president of the team Sokratis Kokalis. The moment which the team is currently experiencing is historical. An emergency situation has conquered both the players and the management. The problem is that Kokalis is apparently tired of being the only one to put money in the club. During the last meeting of the Board of directors, he urged the members to actively seek new investors to cover the holes in the budget and end the fatal period in the history of the team.

As the sports website www.sport.gr mentioned during the meeting Kokalis turned to his associates with the words: "When in 1993 I took over the team it was having a difficult year. We bought great players, we built sports facilities, we built Karaiskaki, Randy, we won titles, and now everybody is telling me look at where you took Olympiakos... I am tired of being the only person who gives money for so many years and in spite of this to have a claims for me. I do not want to give more money. I'm tired of them having requirements for me and at the same time being the only one who pays. Four people are putting money in Panathinaikos and there are another six, seven, who are not visible. I am alone, and on top of that they all have requirements for me."

There are other people wishing to infuse money into the team as well. But the problem is that they refuse to do so immediately... For now the Greek entrepreneur Vangelis Marinakis wakes the largest hopes. Marinakis aims at a union with Lavrentis Lavrentiadis, thanks go whom both of them could invest almost 100 million euros and buy the package of shares of the team. The entrepreneur has made it clear that he wishes to participate in the management of Olympiakos and is willing to invest the necessary amount of money. He however expects from  Sokratis Kokalis to cover the debts of the team. It is this position of Marinakis that prompted the negative comments from the staff of the President. They emphasize that the candidate investor can not enter into the management without investing money to fill the financial hole.

The fatal period for the white and reds leaves no trace of doubt that the team needs help and it needs it urgently. The fact that this year it took fifth position in the Super League after losing even against the team of AEK speaks for itself. Olympiakos has not had such a low position in 20 years.

In what state will the new season see the team? Everything will be decided on 14.06. at a special meeting, during which new members of the board of directors will be elected.
