With a fantastic victory and score of 102 to 85 for the white-red team, ended the match part of the Euroleague between the basketball teams Olympiakos and Kaha Laboral, which was played in SEF in Athens. The white-reds showed a very good game, which pleasantly surprised the assembled fans in the hall, but not the guests...

From the very beginning, the match started with a lead by the hosts. With a difference of 4-5 points both teams struggled during the first two periods to consolidate their position on the field. The hosts were hampered, however, to find the right rhythm and they could not win by a bigger lead. The first half ended with the score 49:45. Early in the second half was the time when Olympiakos took a hold of the game, in which there was real danger that the guests can catch up and take the lead. The white-reds gained confidence and started a braver game. They proceeded to a wonderfully organized attack, thanks to which their lead was steadily increasing. Particularly active was player Sofoklis Shortsianitis. The numerous times he scored brought a significant number of points to the team.

Last night another distinctive player was Kleyza who also contributed to the lead in the result. Good presence also had Childress who despite the several failed attempts to score (especially in the last minutes of the match) managed to demonstrate his capabilities. Overall, the game of the white-reds was quite different - the dynamism with which they passed the ball and ran, was impressive.

At the end of the third and the beginning of the fourth period the score difference reached 21 points in favor of the hosts (82:61), and then to a record score difference of 25 points (86:61). The big difference is evidence of particularly heavy loss for the team of Kaha Laboral on Greek grounds. The hosts drove the guests to total despair and bewilderment. They were sure of their victory last night and only a miracle could have helped Kaha Laboral to catch up the huge loss. At the end of the match Olympiakos relaxed and even let the difference in the result to be reduced ...
