http://www.fringefestival.gr/

The Fringe Festival, aiming to present the creative forces of the Greek capital, will be held in Athens for the third time. The Festival is inspired by the Festival in Edinburgh, but it has a slight whiff of activism. About 500 artists at the age of about 30 years will demonstrate their talents from today until Sunday and will improvise on Smile in the Mind – the name of the festival as opposed to the pessimism that conquered the city. The central venue for the performances, exhibitions and other events is Technopolis, but also Eliart theatre, Rouf, Vrisaki and the Union of Greek Archaeologists and the Athens House of Photography. The places were selected to be close to one another, but also close to the subway. The daily fare is 7 euros and 5 euros for students and unemployed. The ticket includes visits to 21 museums from the network of museums in the historic center.
