New Year is coming, the spirits are high and you probably wonder where you could have fun around Athens. Prices in night clubs have not increased too much because of the economic crisis and if they doubled in previous years this time this would completely ruin the clubs. Hey, even taxis do not charge their holiday surcharge of euro or two this year! So, you can dress up, invite your friends and spend the New Year’s Eve at bouzouki or club without suffering pangs of remorse for the money spent.

In Caramela Club, where George Tsalikis will sing, the cover charge is 33 euros per person, the price of a bottle of drink is 130 euros for four people and a bottle of wine for two is 70 euros, the entrance ticket including a drink at the bar is 15 euros. Similar are the prices of the other so-called bouzouki clubs with live music for the New Year's Eve. Oh, let me tell you! Despina Vandi will have live performance at Vox Club for 40 euros per person. Her partners on the stage will be Panos Kalidis and Elizabeth Spanou, and the program is a pop rock and folk mix. The price of a bottle of drink to enjoy Despina is a little higher - 160 euros for four people and a bottle of wine for two is 80 euros, while the entrance price including a drink at the bar is 20 euros. The ever young Angela Dimitriou will perform with the folk troubadour Levteris Pantazis in one of the coolest New Year shows at Polis Star club. But everything has its price - it jumps to 200 euros on the New Year’s Eve for a bottle of drink and for the eyes of Angela, but the entrance including a drink at the bar is only 15 euros.

Natasha Theodoridou will sing for 43 euros per person with Kostas Martakis, Elias Vretos and Eleni Fureira in Anodos club! The eternal Yannis Plutarhos will appear on Cosmos Stage while Antonis Remos and Elena Paparizou will perform in Diogenis Studio on 259, Syngrou Avenue. The successful folk duo Dimitris Mitropanos and Pegi Zina will shake the Ιερά Οδός club and the sexiest George Mazonakis will sing in Votanikos. And finally, thirteen years after their first appearance, Anna Vissi and Sakis Rouvas are together again - this time for the show Face 2 Face, which will enchant the visitors of the club on 166, Piraeus Avenue.
 
Bolshoi Theatre ballet will make its last performance for the lovers of classics in the Music Chamber. Today - January 29, the swing band Athens Lindy Hop will also make its holiday party at the Lost 'n' Found at 22.30 and the entrance is free. Grigris Papandonis well known for the dj decks of the old Bar Guru Bar will play multiethnic, soulful house, electro and acid in Penthouse 21 again today (President Hotel, 43, Kifisiyas Avenue, Ambelokipi, 210 6989000) at 22: 30 and the entry is free again.

The band Mora sti Photia (Babies in the fire) that have already become a cult because of their presence on the music scene for twenty-five years will play rock from the 1980s. They will play in the rhythm of the first ten years of the 21st century and will perform their brand new album Cougar Baby - Smoking Rabbit in Kitaro club on December 29 and 30 at 22:30.

The festive atmosphere perfectly fits the music of Quinn Lemley. She is constantly visiting Athens and this time will perform on the Half Note Jazz Club stage (28/12-6/1) at 22:30. The audience really adores her for the way she brings life to the swing and the silver screen keeping at the same time the quality of jazz and pop of the past decades. Her performances are full of live, enjoying and make the spirits high. We have a really good chance to have great fun during the holidays with Quinn and the boys on stage.

Thirst for really good music is the one that makes the crowds go to Gazarte bar in the Gazi neighbourhood on Sundays and Mondays when Stavros Ksarhakos dives into the magic of music and drags us with him. The concerts will be on January, 2-3, January 9-10, January 16- 17 at 21:00.
