Some of the most crucial, absolutely determined and fully predetermined areas in our lives are those related to our parents and our children. A person can change his or her friends, colleagues, employers, intimate partners and spouses but never his or her parents and children. They are unique and remain unique forever. They are part of our lives that we must accept. Often the topic of our relationships with our parents and later with our children remains out of sight. We do not pay much attention to it. When we are faced with the so-called conflict of generations, we usually shrug our shoulders and mutter something like, "The adults are older than the age of the dinosaurs" or "This young generation is good for nothing." However, things are so simple - each generation is part of the evolutionary development of society.

Today's article is about what happens in the relationships between the generations, where and what the biggest differences that underlie the conflicts of generations are because they are always present. According to sociologists, generational conflicts and differences have always existed and will continue to exist. They do not depend so much on the upbringing of children by their parents. They depend primarily on the progress and development of the society to which the corresponding generation belongs, on the economics, politics, culture, social environment, employment and other components of society. And the individual characteristics of each person determine how deep the conflict will be.

In astrology, Pluto defines generations, age groups in society. Although astronomers have reduced the importance of Pluto as a planet, its function remains valid for astrologers. Each generation can fit within the general picture characterized by the transition of Pluto through a specific zodiac sign. All people born with Pluto in the same sign constitute one generation.

This planet makes one complete revolution around the zodiacal circle in 248 years. Since it has a highly elliptical orbit, the time it spends in the separate zodiac signs is different. It spends the longest time, about 30 years, in the signs of Aries, Taurus and Gemini and the shortest, about 10 years, in the signs of Libra, Scorpio and Sagittarius. The time it spends in the other signs varies between 15 and 25 years.
In modern times, after 1985, Pluto has passed through the signs where it spends the shortest time. This means that there are two fundamentally different generative layers in the group of the people who are now aged between 25 and 35 years and who are considered as one generation. In a more global sense, the fact that over the past 30-40 years Pluto has passed through three signs, something that happens over a period of 70-80 years in other times, explains why the progress and development of society and the respective generations is so fast today.

The sign in which Pluto is located at the time of birth defines the style and manner of life, the mentality of the specific generation, how the individuals of this generation are affected mentally by society, the quality of the collective and generational mind which marks the whole activity of a particular generation - in social, political, artistic, scientific and industrial terms.
Of course, other planets such as Neptune, Uranus and the so-called great conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn that happens every 20 years play a role in the comprehensive understanding of all parameters of one generation. However, the long-term factor, in this case the planet with the slowest movement – Pluto, determines the formation of the biggest trend.
The sign and the house in which Pluto is located at the time of birth define a few basic things:
1. The crucial theme in life related mainly to society. What is the contribution of the person to society?
2. The area of life which is most closely related to social development and progress, and in which the person experiences the fate of society as a whole.
3. The area of life which undergoes a deep renewal in order for the particular person to be able to cope with the challenges of society.

This means that generational relationships endure confrontations and conflicts not because of some personal, individual characteristics (although they are important too) but because of the requirements that society addresses to the person even during his or her birth and during the stage of development of society itself.

There are many details in the relationships between parents, children, grandparents in a family and an analysis of the interaction between the individual horoscopes is made to understand the individual relationships. This is an extremely broad topic but general conclusions can be drawn on the basis of the position of Pluto.

Now I will describe the meaning of Pluto in each zodiac sign for those born within a specified interval of years. It is at the core of generational clashes and conflicts and the area in which they take place. Pluto passes through all zodiac signs over a period of 248 years. Over the past 100 years, Pluto has passed through the signs of Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, and is currently in Capricorn. So, today there are no living people who were born with Pluto in the signs of Aquarius, Pisces, Aries, Taurus and Gemini. However, I will describe them according to their position in the house.
