The Brazilian and until few days ago coach of Olympiakos Zico has firmly decided to fight for his rights. Zico gives no signs that he has the intention to retire from the coaching bench quietly. It is exactly the opposite – he assures that he will not give up and will fight for his rights by asking for the help of FIFA.

Most offending the Brazilian finds the manner in which he was fired. For his dismissal, Zico heard on the internet looking through the page of Olympiakos… In his personal blog he shares his surprise and grief of what happened as well as his amazement of why nobody considered it is necessary to at least call him on the phone. Only two hours after he reads the news about his dismissal on the internet a court official brings him a letter. Commenting on what happened Zico claims that never in his life he has taken part in such situation and the fact that a court official handed him the letter makes him feel as if he had committed a crime. Surprising for Zico is the fact that the management of Olympiokos has no intention of keeping the points mentioned in the contract. According to it if the team makes it to the first or second place the cooperation between the coach and the team will be renewed. Currently Olympiakos is at the second place, however the contract has been broken.

For his work in Olympiakos, Zico shares that nevertheless he was in the position of a coach for only four months the results of the team are not bad. Olympiakos qualified among the top 16 of the Champions league with 5 losses out of 21 games total. According to him the team had a chance as 12 more games were remaining. The loss of the 7 points the former coach attributes to the absence of key players lik Dudu.
