The majority of Greeks feel more confident about the place of Greece in the eurozone after the establishment of a coalition government led by Lucas Papademos, according to a poll conducted by "Kapa Research" for the Sunday issue of the newspaper "To Vima".
The majority of citizens approve the election of Lucas Papademos for Prime Minister in the government of broad cooperation. 72.9 percent believe it is "the correct or the rather correct decision", while only 20% believe it is "the wrong or the rather wrong decision."
78% of the respondents perceive the formation of a new government as a "positive or rather positive" step and 20% consider it a "negative or rather negative step."
As for the emotions caused by the forming of the coalition government led by Lucas Papademos, 42.2 percent said they feel hope, 17.4% - comfort, 8.6% - anxiety, 8.5% - indifference, 7.5% - anger, 5.4% - pessimism and fear, 1.9% - grief, and 1.1% - joy.
Conversely, almost every second Greek felt anger, uncertainty and pessimism during the political crisis following the decision of 27th October and the responses caused by the referendum proposal.
In particular, 40.9 percent said they feel anger, 19% - anxiety, 15.7% - pessimism and fear, 8.9% - hope, 5.9% - sorrow, 3.8 percent - comfort and a small percentage of the respondents (0.8%) - joy.
A total of 78.6 percent of the respondents now feel more confident that with the new government Greece's place in the eurozone is ensured, while only 9.8 percent feel the opposite.
The approval of such a government can also be seen in the fact that 63.4 percent of Greek citizens believe that the establishment of a government of broad cooperation was the better decision compared to the possibility of the country facing immediate elections. A development, supported by 34.4 percent of the Greeks.
In the poll of "Marc" for Sunday's issue of the newspaper "Ethnos" respondents answer the question "How do you evaluate the choice of Papademos for Prime Minister?" 55.6 percent gave a positive response, and 23.5% gave a rather positive response; overall the percentage of positive or rather positive opinion reached 79.1 percent.
11.8% of the respondents gave a negative answer and 5.6%, "rather negative", while the answers "I cannot decide, I do not want to answer" accounted for 3.5%. In the survey of "MRB" for the "Realnews" newspaper, 75% of respondents felt positive about the choice of Lucas Papademos for Prime Minister. Also, 61.7 percent of them supported the establishment of a coalition government after the parliamentary elections.
When asked about their attitudes towards the vote, New Democracy increased their difference to 9.9 percent, but according to the survey it could not establish a government itself. New Democracy gets 21.8 percent of the vote, PASOK - 11.9%, the Communist Party KKE - 9.5%, the far-right LAOS - 6.1%, the left coalition SYRIZA - 7.6%, the Democratic Left - 6.5% , the Democratic Union of Dora Bakoyiannis - 2.8%, the Environmentalists - Greens - 2.8% and the party of the independent members Yiannis Dimaras and Vassilis Ikonomou "Arma Politon" - 1.3 percent.
The rating of Lucas Papademos reaches 55% and the negative reviews of him are only 18 percent, according to the survey of "Public Issue" for the Sunday issue of the newspaper "Kathimerini".
Among the attitudes towards the vote New Democracy is in first place with 28.5 percent of the votes, followed by PASOK - with 19.5%, SYRIZA - 12%, KKE - 11%, LAOS - 8.5%, Democratic Left - 7.5 percent, and the environmentalists - 3.5%.
