New acid attack was registered in Greece. Caused are material damages on a syndicate member’s car.

The incident reminds of the murder attempt against Bulgarian Konstantina Kuneva. Venetia Manolopoulou is working as a cleaning lady at the Thessaloniki airport and based on unofficial information, the company which takes care of cleaning at the airport is the same, in which Kuneva used to work.

Manolopoulou had parked her car in front of the building, where she lives. After a meeting of the syndicate she went home and found out that her car was flooded with some liquid. In her attempts to clean it, she found out that the paint of the car was damaged. The police have taken a sample to the lab and is going to find out whether the liquid was acid or a flammable substance. The woman said she has never been threatened over the phone. She believes the attack has something to do with her syndicate activity and is a result of a complaint she has filed against unknown criminals.

SIRIZA urged the government to stop playing with the lives of thousands of workers, by silently supporting their employers and by not checking the necessary documentation.
