A 24-year old Albanian that "purchased" a Bulgarian girl for €2000 was caught by the police. The 22 years old girl was kept in an apartment in the neighborhood of "Vironas" in Athens for nearly 20 days, in order to be "rented" as a prostitute by her kidnapper. The criminal was arrested and prosecuted.
In another Athenian suburb, two men were arrested with fake Bulgarian passports. They were caught while trying to withdraw money from an ATM through the method of "skimming". During the arrest policemen confiscated a magnetic device used to copy data from cash cards, as well as a small workshop for manufacturing credit cards, lists with hand-written data of numbers of credit and cash cards, laptops, fake cash cards and fake Bulgarian passports. The two men are at the ages of 24 and 27.
According to the police report the men were operating all over south-east Athens, where hey were copying data from the magnetic straps of the bank-cards. With the fake cash-cards they were withdrawing money from the accounts of the actual owners.
