According to the polls, conducted on the eve of the Greek elections, the last few days have seen a closing gap between the two big parties. SYRIZA’s percentages are going down whereas those of New Democracy are rising.
Given this, there are two mysteries for the evening after the elections to resolve: whether SYRIZA will enjoy absolute majority in Parliament and which will be the third strongest party. Golden Dawn and Potami are the contestants for the third place.
The latest polls have yielded the following percentages for the key players (on top is the gap between the two leading parties):
GPO (a 6.7% gap)

- New Democracy: 26.7%
- Golden Dawn: 5.1%
