The prosecutor in Athens decided to leave in custody the mother of the murdered 4-year-old Ani. Dimitrina Borisova is charged with criminal negligence, that resulted in the murder of her daughter, and with false bearing. The mother claimed during questioning that she had entrusted her daughter to her mother-in-law and known nothing about the murder of the child. Dimitrina stated that if she had had something to do with the crime she would not have gone of her own free will to the police and report Ani missing.
    Her interrogation lasted about 4 hours and the investigators were impressed by her exceptional calmness.

    The mother's parents and brother testified before the investigators shortly before her. All three said that Dimitrina had loved Ani very much and said insulting words about the biological father of the child.
    To recall that since yesterday evening the killer father has been in an isolated cell in Corfu prison.
