A Lithuanian and a Kenyan won the 28th Classic Marathon in Athens

26-year-old contestant from Kenya and 29-year-old contestant from Lithuania are the winners of the anniversary edition of the Marathon in which took part the record number of 22 000 runners among which were also the Prime Minister George Papandreou and two other ministers. With the score 2-1 in favor of the greens ended the derby between the football teams of Panathinaikos and Olympiakos at the OAKA stadium in Athens. The meeting, which the two eternal enemies were eagerly looking forward to for, turned into a battlefield. The culminating point was just not one, the game proved to be a real spectacle, with a heroic turn in the result. Olympiakos expected to catch its biggest enemy motivated to fight, but... in a bad psychological state. But the greens were fed up with their failures and their desire to win tonight "dead or alive" helped to make deeds worthy of respect.
