Lately, more and more often different organizations appear calling for the establishment of volunteer corps, to "protect citizens, which the State has left to the mercy of criminals."
Due to the wide participation of votes for president of the Greek Socialist Party, the election day was extended by two hours. PASOK parliament members who have left the party also took part in the vote.
The move represents a very positive message sent by the European Central Bank to markets on the prospects of the Greek economy after the procedure and the application of the PSI rescue programme.
