Elections in Greece are important not only for the Greeks themselves but also for the foreigners who live in the country permanently. GRReporter contacted people from different fields and countries, who know the Greek reality well, and asked them what they expect from the elections in May.

In just a few hours, the fierce supporters of the idea, who had tried to spread it by all possible means, were already quarrelling with an equal number of Greeks not supporting the video.

New Democracy Minister Makis Voridis is hampering the opening of the first detention centre for illegal immigrants not from humane motives, but because the issue should be resolved by the next government. Venizelos accused Samaras of inability to stand a debate before the cameras and the media proved to be involved in the game for winning more voters.

Suspension of payment of these pensions will from now on save the country about 800 million euro per year, the Ministry announced. It is not yet clear why the violations had not been revealed to date.

During the meeting and procession, around 1,000 demonstrators protested against the establishment of reception centres for illegal immigrants. Slogans against members of Golden Dawn and their actions dominated.

Far and radical left parties in Greece have a chance to revive again after the two-party model known as PASOK/New Democracy has failed and people have turned away from it. It appears, however, that the Renaissance will be late, as all parties of the "power to the people" type have a different view of how should Greece "reborn" look like after the elections.

Recession will remain around 5% and the budget deficit will not fall below 7.5% are some of the estimates of its Governor George Provopoulos, who warned that the alternative is either reforms or go decades back.
