The Greek sports media indicate that Berbatov will receive from PAOK almost 2 million euro, namely 1.6 million net and additional 600,000 euro in the form of bonuses for targets achieved. "Including taxes, PAOK will secure for the Bulgarian striker the whopping amount of 4 million euro!" stresses the sports website contra.gr.

The Bulgarian striker who is born in 1981 will join the football club in northern Greece after a successful career in three European Championships, namely the Bundesliga, Premier League and Championnat. He started his career as a CSKA Sofia player and then subsequently played in Bayer Leverkusen and Tottenham that offered 16 million euro for him.
