Bomb exploded in front of the Greek Embassy in the Argentine capital Buenos Aires. The blast caused only minor damage.
"There are no victims and the damages are small," said a representative of the fire brigade for the local television Chronicle.
Sources from the Greek Foreign Ministry indicated a little later that the explosive mechanism was improvised most likely made of small gas cylinders and only broke several windows.
The official statement of the Ministry issued shortly afterwards, announced, however, that it was a Molotov cocktail thrown in front of the Embassy of Greece in Buenos Aires at 1:30 am local time. It also stated that "the blast caused minor damage to the facade of the building of the Embassy. The staff was not in the building and no one’s life was threatened"
This is the second attack against the Greek Embassy in the Argentine capital this year. A group of anarchists carried out a similar attack against the Embassy building in April with a request their ally to be released from jail. The attack caused only material damage too.
