Two days after the arrest of Christodoulos Xiros the Greek police found his bomb workshop. Dozens of bombs were discovered in the lodgings in Perahora near Loutraki and, according to a police source, the explosives numbered almost 100. In statements to the Greek daily Kathimerini, he indicated that the bombs were to have been used for the organization of attacks by members of the group "Conspiracy of Fire Nuclei "after their escape from Korydallos prison.

Using a fake identification card, a 22-year-old woman, associate of Christodoulos Xiros, had rented the house in Perahora in the courtyard of which the investigating authorities found two stolen cars. One of them was a white van that according to the police would have been used as a car-bomb in the pogrom planned against Korydallos. Members of the group associated with Xiros had even stuck foil to the inside of the windows to make the interior of the van invisible.

Xiros’ 22-year-old associate, whose true name is Angeliki and who is from the town of Egio, had visited the members of the "Conspiracy of Fire Nuclei" detained in Korydallos until the end of last summer when other persons, who are also wanted, had started to play the role of a "link" between Xiros and the detained terrorists.

The testimony of residents of Anavyssos where Xiros had recently lived mentions a woman of Bulgarian origin in connection with the case. However, there are no concrete data on her involvement for the time being. One of them told the police that there were at least two women with the 30-year-old man named Harris who had rented the house in Anavyssos, presenting himself as a Coast Guard officer and with Xiros. In conversations with neighbours, the terrorist had introduced himself as Nikos.

"Once Harris had told me that Nikos was meeting a woman from Bulgaria, whom he had never taken home. Another time he had said that Nikos’ daughter would arrive and stay in the house for a few days," said Xiros’ recent neighbour.

The police are searching for the 30-year-old man, who, according to witnesses, had often appeared with leg wounds, sometimnes having difficulties in walking.

22-year-old Angeliki is also wanted. On Monday, the authorities investigated her parents’ house in Egio. Her father reported her missing the same day and said that his daughter had lived and worked in Egio until last August and had left for Komotini in the autumn to study. "She was a student in the social and political management faculty. She left Egio in August and we spoke on the phone over the next two months. This stopped over the past two months but she had told us that she would concentrate on studying and we were not particularly worried."

At the same time, the authorities have doubts that the plan for the pogrom against Korydallos prison and the release of the members of the "Conspiracy of Fire Nuclei" was funded by prisoners with long sentences for serious criminal offences. According to them, the detained members of the "Conspiracy of Fire Nuclei" do not have the resources to cover the costs for the purchase of the weapons and explosives found nor for the rents of the two houses in Anavyssos and Perahora.
