iefimerida.gr website published the photo of the Bulgarian woman who splashed her child with boiling water. The prosecutor’s office in Iraklio has launched legal proceedings for murder and possible fraud against the parents of the two-and-a-half-year-old boy, whom they themselves had taken dead to the medical centre in Moires, Crete, after he had been splashed with boiling water.
According to the report by the forensic doctor, the child died at least 4 hours before being taken to the medical centre. In addition, the child's body had traces of abuse, bruises and marks, probably from beating.
The forensic doctor states that the child died as a result of immersion in boiling water, he was held by the legs and immersed into a bath-tub.
The boy’s parents claim, contradicting one another, that they had poured hot water on him to help him have a bowel movement.
