A cartoon instead of thousand words

A cartoon based on Greek mythology is the preference of the British magazine The Economist to illustrate an article devoted to the 100 days of Tsipras’ government. The article entitled "The sorry saga of SYRIZA" focuses on the talks of Greece with its creditors and it will be printed in tomorrow's issue of the magazine.
The cartoon is the work of Peter Schrank who has chosen to present the problem in the Greek style. The cartoonist depicts Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras as a self-annihilating Achilles, who directs his bow with an arrow to his own Achilles' heel. As we know from the work of Homer, this is the only weak point of the character.
In the distance one can see the creditors watching him helplessly and with malicious joy.
