Create a different Christmas year this - with imagination and inspiration. All you need is mood and desire. Here are a few ideas.
Laugh - it's infectious
It may sound simple, even paranoid these days, but there is nothing to lose. Laugh and generously share your wishes with friends, acquaintances, even strangers. Well, if people look at you with curiosity and think you are crazy, do not be offended ... time is to blame.
Sing Christmas carols
Those who have childhood memories of how they sang carols from door to door are lucky. On the other hand, it is not too late for those who have never done it to start. Keep the memories of Christmas carols, start humming and the others will quickly be infected with the holiday spirit. If you start ringing the bells on the doors of your block of apartments, singing, you may expect respective reactions.
Help others
Whenever you go out, remember to take some small change with you. The amount is not important, especially for someone who needs it. If you have the right mood and you can afford it, it will be good to help those who are not so lucky. Do not forget them after the holidays, either.
Colours and lights
Lights, candles, balls and ornaments of all kinds play a key role on Christmas days. A good suggestion is to make them yourself, instead of buying them. Involve your family in this activity. Thus, the holiday spirit will infect everyone around you.
Give toys as presents
Christmas is a holiday for children and for that reason alone it is worth giving away old toys, or toys you don’t need anymore, to various organisations, hospitals, foundations working with children. You can do the same with your clothes, or other items which can cheer up a child.
A helping hand
Besides items, you can certainly spare some of your time and energy supporting the various initiatives that are organised during this period. Many charities organise a variety of fairs, which will probably need help.
Organise a bazaar
An alternative solution in the spirit of Christmas markets is to organise one, together with your friends and acquaintances, and give its revenue to people who are in need, not just this season.
Pretzels
Why buy Christmas pretzels if you can prepare them yourself? Find a recipe, buy the ingredients (flour, yeast and everything else), invite friends and especially young children, and go to the kitchen. Let Christmas flavours invade your kitchen, offer treats to friends, relatives and neighbours, play music and enjoy the Christmas atmosphere. And if the pretzels are not so good, the effort is more important.
The spirit of Christmas
Teach children what the true meaning of Christmas is. Show them what joy, gratitude and generosity of soul mean, and maybe next year more people will follow your lead.
