Three of the youths apprehended during the unsuccessful bank robbery in Velvendo had been involved in other attacks in the past as shown by the police laboratory investigation. Their biological material matches the DNA found in hiding places and flats that members of the terrorist group "Conspiracy of Fire Nuclei" had used.

The data show that Ioannis Michailidis, Dimitris Politis and Nikos Romanos had visited and lived in the hiding places of the organization in Volos, Kallithea and Kolonos. It turns out that the first one, known as the "shooter from Syntagma", was the second participant in the bloody attack on police in the Athens suburb of Pefki in May 2011. Two policemen were injured then and Theophilos Mavropoulos, who had been accused of involvement in the "Conspiracy of Fire Nuclei", was arrested.

In particular, Ioannis Michailidis’ biological material matches the DNA discovered on:

- a Glock gun found in Pefki at the place of an attack on policemen during a raid to check identity cards.

- evidence in a flat in the district of Kolonos, Athens, which had been rented with a fake ID card on 5 December 2011.

- evidence in a flat in Nea Ionia in Volos on 14 March 2011 and in a flat in the district of Kallithea, Athens.

Dimitris Politis’ biological material matches the DNA found on:

- a hat that is evidence. It was found in a car that had been used during the armed robbery of the Agricultural Bank branch in the village of Filotas near Florina on 28 November 2012. A woman took part in the robbery too and the attackers managed to steal 110,000 euro.

According to the police, four gunmen broke into the bank, threatened the employees and the customers, and took money from the cash desk. Then, they fled in a that they had stolen from Thessaloniki a few days before the robbery and which they later left in the village of Komnina near Kozani.

- evidence in a flat in the suburb of Tavros, Athens on 13 January 2011, a flat in Nea Ionia in Volos on 14 March 2011, a flat in Kallithea and a house in the resort of Porto Rafti, which the terrorists apprehended on 14 March 2011 had used as a stash.

Nikos Romanos’ biological material also matches the DNA discovered on:

- evidence gathered after the explosion of an improvised explosive device in the trolley depot in the suburb of Agios Dimitrios, Athens, on 27 June 2009.

- evidence found in the flat in Kolonos.

- evidence found in the flat in Kallithea.
