The former musical partner of Elena Paparizou, Nikos Panagiotidis is one step away from entering into prison. The bouzouki from the former band Antique is accused by his aunt that he had misappropriated 100 thousand euros over the years while he has lived with her in Thessaloniki. He has been borrowing the money from November 2001 to September 2002, but to this day he has not paid it back. But that's not all. Panagiotidis has been secretly taking money from the safe of his aunt, for which he knew the code. To her appeals to return the amount taken, he has replied with verbal threat: "You will get your money only in the good way, otherwise you will be in trouble". The accusation against her nephew the aunt has submitted in 2005. The sentence can even be six years in prison and there is a possibility for it to be revoked for a bail of 5 thousand euros.

Panagiotidis firmly denied the accusations of his aunt to be true. The performer did not appear also for the case. In recent years he has been living in Sweden ...

If, however the accusations prove to be true, they will show an unknown to us side of Panagiotidis. Former musical partner of Elena Paparizou will eventually turn out to be a bad person.

Being Antique together they knew the "days of glory", when at the Eurovision in 2001 they took third place with the song «Die For You». At the beginning of their joint music career more things were connecting the performers than separating them. Their synergy was transmitted to their songs and the audience felt it. Both of them grew up in Gothenburg, Sweden, in families of Greek immigrants. They worked together from 1999 to 2003. Their first album Mera me tin Mera they release in 1999. Then are following Die for You and Me logia Ellinika in 2001, Alli mia fora in 2002 and Blue Love and Power V in 2003. Antique is really enjoying their success, an evidence of which are also the albums issued in two almost every year. Many songs became hits. Opa Opa, Dinata Dinata, Mera me tin Mera, Die For You, Ligo ligo, Why, Moro mou, Alli mia fora, Follow me, Kainouria agapi are just some of them. The latest hit of the band is the song List of Lovers from 2003.

After the roads of the two performers split, Elena jumped in the pool of the job. She made a brilliant career and one of her staring points was first place in the Eurovision in 2005. Nikos Panagiotidis on the other hand recorded few CDs, but his music failed to win the hearts of the audience. After parting with Paparizou he didn’t follow the path of the pop style and focused on the more popular type of music, with more folk elements.
