Symbolically Eleni Menegaki’s marriage is over when she appeared without her wedding ring during the broadcast "Coffee with Eleni”. After being the top news for one week Eleni’s perfect image began crackling. The morning show queen already has problems not only with her family, but also with her bosses from Alpha TV.
With every other day her image crashes and recently her picture with businessman Makis Pandazopulos on a beach on Andros island came to light. On the photo is also Eleni’s good friend Jenny Baldazinou, who avoids any comments. With the publication of the photo in the TV show "Ola 10" of the journalist Temos Anastasiadis, Eleni Menegaki received one more blow to her image.
All attempts for reconciliation made by their friends and by Yahhis Latsios’ sister remained without result. The ΑΝΤ1 TV Director has made his decision and no one can change his mind. Communication between the couple is only formal and with time passing the gap between the two becomes greater.
Today Eleni Menegaki and Yiannis Latsios’ daughter has her birthday and her mother has arranged a party at 07:00PM, which will be attended by very close friends and family. To avoid more rumors, Yiannis Latsios decided his daughter Laura should blow out the candles of her cake on Saturday - three days before the event and to celebrate her birthday in a narrow family circle.
On the other hand it is clear that "the beautiful Eleni" of the morning show has a problem in her second home - the TV. Apparently the German owners of the channel are aggravated by the popularity of Eleni’s divorce. According to them the image of the show host is shaky and they have invested too much money to allow it to fail.
Their message to Menegaki is different from that of the TV viewers and clearly it states: "This story should end as quickly as possible.” The bad thing is that the rating of the show "Coffee with Eleni" dropped this week to its prior level - "pre Menegaki-Latsios affair” - and bosses are worried for it not to collapse entirely.
According to the Greek press the divorce between the two will be by mutual consent and guardianship of children will receive Eleni Menegaki. Yiannis Latsios will be able to spend as much time with them as he wishes and the couple has also agreed that he will pay monthly allowance of €3000 for them. Due to the fact that Eleni and Yiannis have not signed prenuptial agreement, they will divide their properties in court.
The couple has a stone house in Melissa worth around €4 million, a house in Kifisya worth about €600 000, a 4-bedroom apartment in Eliniko worth about €400 000, a building in Karisto, a summer house on Halkidiki peninsula, ten acres in Karisto and non-built area in Boeotia worth about €250 000.
In Karisto, Eleni Menegaki’s hometown, where she used to live prior to her marriage, she has an apartment, which is located on the fifth floor in a building with 12 apartments. The whole building is owned by her mother and she gives the other apartments for rent. Besides real estate, Eleni Menegaki and Yiannis Latsios have a common bank account in which they have included their children.
