Powerful explosion erupted tonight 200 meters away from the walls of the women's section of the prison Koridalos. The explosion was so powerful that it was heard in the center of Athens, in the southern suburbs and in Piraeus. A 22-year-old girl living on 1-th floor of a neighboring building, is slightly injured.

At 09:00PM yesterday unknown men called the left newspaper Eleftherotypia and the private television "Alter" and said that near Koridalos prison was placed an explosive, which will blow after 27 minutes in front of the apartment building on 199 Grigoris Lambrakis. Both warned that it is not a farce. As it happened.

The area was closed off in a 1 kilometre perimeter by the Greek counter-terrorism forces and people from the residential building were evacuated. The explosive device was placed in a black bag at a hidden location. The closest security point of the prison female wing was far enough not to notice anything suspicious.

The explosion wave broke the windows of neighboring buildings, one of which wounded the leg of a 22-year-old girl. The girl lived three buildings away from the location of the blast. She was taken to a hospital and discharged the same night. Her condition is stable.

Sappers and counter-terrorism experts were investigating the scene and the remains of the explosive mechanism until 04:00AM. According to initial assessment of the police, standing behind the explosion, is the organization “Conspiracy fiery nuclei”.
