A famous businessman, representative of ΜΕΚΟ Cars, almost met death in the face on Posidonos Avenue in the Athens district of Alimos on Saturday afternoon. The businessman is Emilios Kotsonis.

Initially, there was confusion about the name of the businessman because of leaking information from the police, since sources repeatedly argued that the businessman was Seros Mirtas. The site zougla.gr contacted Mirtas who emphasized that he was located outside Athens and had no relation to the case. Mirtas himself said that he has collaborated with shops trading cars in the area in the past.

Shortly before 1:00 p.m., two unknown perpetrators riding an Εnduro motorcycle approached the shop and opened fire against the businessman, causing material damage. This happened at a time when he was coming out of the shop and heading to his car. According to sources, the businessman is associated with the football club Olympiakos.

He responded to the shooting

It is significant that despite the shock of the attack, Emilios Kotsonis managed to pull out his own weapon, for the possession of which he has a licence, and responded to the shots against him.

According to knowledgeable sources, witnesses of the case have stated that the shots produced by the businessman injured one of the two attackers. But there is no official confirmation of this from the police.
