Former Deputy Interior Minister Leonidas Tzanis hung himself in his home in Volos some days after having been named on the list of politicians under investigation for profiteering. The Financial and Economic Crime Unit in Thessaloniki was carrying out the inspection against him. In particular, the prosecution had sought to open his bank accounts.
