The former finance minister in the government of George Papandreou, George Papakonstantinou is one of the three Greeks, who were invited to participate in the annual meeting of the Bilderberg Club. From the Greek side, the president of Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company George David and the Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy ELIAMEP Loukas Tsoukalis will attend the discussions of the most influential secret society in the world. This year's meeting of the members of the famous club will take place from 31 May to 3 June in the small American town Chantilly in Virginia, near Washington, DC. The list of invitees is never made public and the existence of the Bilderberg Club itself is not recognized either. As the date is approaching, however, the speculation about who would be "inside" this year is intensifying. According to the Twitter social network, the Spanish Queen Sofia, Italian Prime Minister Mario Monti, Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands, Brussels dignitaries Joaquin Almunia and Javier Solana, the President of Deutsche Bank Josef Ackermann and Microsoft's Bill Gates and former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger will attend Chantilly, Virginia at the weekend in addition to the three Greek representatives stated above. Chantilly will host the annual meeting of the Bilderberg Club for the second time since 2008.
In 2009, the Bilderberg Club met in Athens, in Spain in 2010 and in the resort of St. Moritz in Switzerland last year.
