That together with the Deputy Prime Ministers a daily control of the course of government action in each ministry must be undertaken, to allow time to overcome the difficult winter that comes ahead. "We want a national Greece in order to achieve unification in the most difficult moment," said a Minister, who often talks to George Papandreou and does not reject ideas while discussing changes in the cabinet which contain people from different areas, but also members of PASOK from the "strong bench ". And what about the other side of the coin?

The door for joint cooperation between PASOK and New Democracy is “closed”

Are there still grounds to believe a cooperation scenario between PASOK and New Democracy with an agreement between George Papandreou and Antonis Samaras? Even with one glance and superficial examination of the circumstances, everyone knows that the possibilities for this are zero. Members of the Cabinet at this stage reject this possibility, noting that Antonis Samaras has destroyed all the bridges of cooperation and understanding - "he did not accept what was clear by itself, to accompany the Prime Minister, as he had suggested, to the critical meeting in Brussels," and stressed that the joint governance cannot be discussed without the seal of the prime minister and opposition leader. 

"Red Lines" 

Scenario, which assumes the "surrender" by both of them regarding the joint cooperation is considered to be nonexistent. In addition, George Papandreou seems to be determined not to leave a chance for attack for the leadership of New Democracy (current and previous), by listing its main responsibilities for enlarging the public debt and its refusal (now) to participate on the "case" for rescuing the country from the economic crisis
