From the first day of the new year, the Greek state television NERIT began broadcasting a second channel under the name NERIT Plus.

Viewers can watch NERIT Plus throughout Greece at the frequencies that previously carried NERIT Sports.

Initially NERIT Plus will air shows for children and adolescents, documentaries, major sporting events from the past, Greek serials and culture shows from the state television archives.

Subsequently, NERIT Plus will adopt a new programming pattern with separate zones for different audience types:

  • Greek and foreign serials and cartoons for children in the Nerit Kids zone.
  • Lifestyle, country life and culture shows, Greek and foreign documentaries on history, geography and environmental issues, travel shows, women’s and entertainment formats in the NERIT Life zone.
  • Sports shows in the NERIT Sports zone.

With two national television channels and four national radio stations already broadcasting, NERIT’s basic programming structure is already completed.

A third high-resolution channel carrying content selected from the two national channels is also airing. several provincial radio stations will follow as well as a satellite TV channel for Greeks expatriates.
