Unknown criminals robbed a branch of the Hellenic Post in the Athenian neighborhood Glika Nera. Caused are material damages and nobody is hurt.
The bandits, dressed in black clothes, arrived on motorcycles and started breaking the windows with an ax. After that they entered the building, threatened the post employees and clients with weapons and asked for money. They took unknown sum of money and ran away in a car. Police suspect that the criminals are the so called “black robbers” for whom in October the Ministry in Defense announced a capture prize of €600 000.
Another organized group of over 30 criminals attacked bank branches and caused some material damages. The group was working in Kesariani neighborhood. First they threw Molotov bombs in a supermarket and after that they did the same in an Emporiki Bank branch. They also caused fire in an Eurobank branch.
The National Bank of Greece was also attacked. Unknown individuals placed 4 handmade explosive devices in the bank’s branch in Iraklio. Fortunately, there were no explosions. The police is investigating the case.
